My Out Of This World Day written and illustrated by Karen Burt. This is a story about a boy who builds a rocket and travels to outer space. The book design is a simple easy reader. Larger font and large spacing between sentences are used to develop tracking skills. Basic sight words are included. There is a fun fact section on planets. I have also included comprehension questions but there is a twist. The child gets to ask the adult. Simple questions that include the answers its design to make a child feel successful and give them a sense of pride.
